Luisa S. Valle Castro, is a partner in C. Conde & Assoc. and has been part of the firm since 1999. As part of her vast experience in the insolvency field, Ms. Valle has been involved in all phases of the corporate reorganization process inside and outside of the Bankruptcy Court. She has participated in high profile reorganization cases of corporate and individual debtors, as well as counseled both Debtors and Creditors in all aspects related to bankruptcy proceedings and litigation of complex cases. Ms. Valle has ample appellate experience before the United States District Court, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the First Circuit and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Valle graduated in 1995 from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus with honors and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. She obtained her law degree in 1998 from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, School of Law. Ms. Valle is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She is also a Notary for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico since 1999.

Since 2017, Ms. Valle has been involved and acted as counsel for various creditors and/or parties in interest in the Title III and Title VI proceedings

Since 2017, Ms. Valle has been involved and acted as counsel for various creditors and/or parties in interest in the Title III and Title VI proceedings filed by the Financial and Oversight Management Board for Puerto Rico before the United States District Court under the provisions of the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Act, 48 U.S.C. § 2101, et. seq., (PROMESA).

Ms. Valle has participated as a speaker in various panels including the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Caribbean Symposium, the “Colegio de Abogados de Puerto Rico” and offered numerous continued legal education courses related to bankruptcy matters, bankruptcy litigation and the Title III litigation under PROMESA.

Ms. Valle is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Federal Bar Association – Puerto Rico Chapter, the Puerto Rico Bankruptcy Bar Association and participated in activities offered by the International Women Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (“IWIRC”), a network committed to the connection, promotion and success of women in the restructuring and insolvency professionals worldwide.
