William J. Alemañy Méndez

Mr. Alemañy has been involved in all phases of bankruptcy proceedings, including but not limited to, counsel to Debtors prior to the filing of the bankruptcy cases, preparation and drafting of bankruptcy petitions, Schedules and Financial Affairs, attending 341 Meetings of Creditors, litigation pertaining to lift of stay, violations to automatic stay, objections to treatment of claims, objection to claimed exemptions, adversary proceedings, and assisted in drafting complicated Plans of Reorganization.

Mr. Alemañy graduated from Bentley University in 2011 and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He also obtained a Master of Science in Federal Taxation from the same institution in 2012. In 2015 he obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. Prior to becoming a member of the Firm, he was an intern for Hon. Enrique S. Lamoutte, at the United State Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

Mr. Alemañy has appeared before the United States Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the First Circuit with successful results.
